Travel Tips

When to Visit Alaska
The summer months between May and September are the most popular times for travel to Alaska. Summer boasts long, warm days of sunlight with temperatures ranging from mid-60s to 80s, though will vary depending on the region you visit. Not to mention- the widest array of adventures and tours are offered in these months including wilderness retreats and sightseeing in the ever-popular Denali National Park
The winter months between October and April are primed for those who wish to authentically experience Alaska the way the locals do. Visitors can partake in a large number of festivals and celebrations in the months of February and March such as the Miners and Trappers Ball or the famous Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race (to name a few). Winter is also an ideal time for witnessing the spectacular Northern Lights or experience gliding through the Arctic wilderness by traditional dog sled.
