If you are short on time, or if you miss the afternoon bus to Denali Backcountry Lodge, or if you merely want to experience something different, you can fly from the Denali National Park entrance to Kantishna on the west end via Kantishna Air Taxi.
Kantishna Air Taxi has a concession permit from the National Park Service and is the only air operator based within the boundaries of Denali National Park and Preserve. In addition to air taxi services, they offer scenic tours from both Kantishna and the east end entrance area.
If you are flying to Denali Backcountry Lodge, it is important to arrange your flight to land in Kantishna after 6:00 p.m. Similarly, if you are interested in taking the flight out on the day of your check out, you need to arrange to depart no later than 9:00 a.m. These fly-in and fly-out times are strictly enforced so we can best serve our guests. We can book Kantishna Air Taxi services as well as their scenic tours.
