This adventure offers just one day in Denali National Park. Explore the Packages link in the menu bar above, if you have more time and would like to explore Denali National Park more extensively.
The six-million-acre Denali National Park has just one 92-mile spur road leading into it. At the very end of the road is an enclave of in holdings in Kantishna, a historic mining district. Here, Denali Backcountry Lodge offers a unique wilderness experience and access to the heart of the park.
Go beyond the crowds and venture to Kantishna, deep inside Denali National Park. This full-day narrated bus trip explores the entire 92-miles of the restricted Denali Park Road on your way to Denali Backcountry Lodge, offering you the most opportunities to view wildlife and experience the stunning beauty of the Park.
Our trained naturalist guide/driver provides natural history interpretation along the way, while helping you search for bear, moose, caribou, and other wildlife. We stop along the way for photo opportunities and take several rest stops where you can stretch your legs. Snacks and beverages are available on board.
When you reach Kantishna, you'll enjoy a hearty buffet lunch at our exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice, and there is always a vegetarian option. Lunch includes a sandwich bar, soups, fruits, snacks, fresh baked goods, and drinks.
After lunch, enjoy a guided afternoon activity. Try your luck at gold panning near the lodge, or take a nature walk with a naturalist to Fannie Quigley's historic pioneer cabin which has been restored by the National Park Service.
