Denali Backcountry Lodge is open from June 4 through the night of September 12.
The Lodge offers access to Wonder Lake and amazing views of Denali on clear days. The summit of Denali is visible on approximately 30% of summer days. We suggest a stay of at least three nights to maximize your chance of seeing the mountain and Denali wildlife. Please read through our Frequently Asked Questions page to better prepare for the adventure of visiting Alaska. It's full of information from what to pack to what is provided at the lodge.
The scenic journey through Denali National Park aboard our private bus from the park entrance to the lodge and return, park entrance fees, cabin with private bath, all meals and snacks, all guided activities (except flightseeing), and all naturalist programs.
Gratuities to lodge staff and bar and gift shop purchases are not included.
We recommend reserving your space as soon as possible to secure the trip dates you desired. We being booking reservations one year in advance. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit. Please note that our deposit and cancellation policies are necessary due to our extremely short season and the nature of our high-quality, low-volume small-group trips.
To ensure an enjoyable trip, we suggest traveling light and using soft luggage. Although there is no limit for Denali Cabins, we do enforce a luggage limit for Denali Backcountry Lodge. For the Lodge, we allow one small bag (35 lbs. max.) plus one carry-on per person. Storage for lodge guests with excess luggage is available at Denali Cabins, our lodging option near the entrance of Denali Park. For other facilities, tours, or activities, please check with our reservation agent.
